Financing Quality Child Care

The forum on Financing Quality Child Care: No Longer Just a Dream was convened in December 2001 by six organizations: The Washington State Child Care Coordinating Committee, Washington State Child Care Resource and Referral Network, Northwest Finance Circle, Project Lift-Off, School's Out Washington, and the Human Services Policy Center of the University of Washington. The purpose of the forum was: To disseminate information about developments in child care, early learning and out of school programs: To learn about a universal child care financing model under development; and To examine methods of improving the quality of child care services by linking quality to increased funding. Attendees included child advocates and policymakers representing a variety of organizations and public agencies.
